About the contest
Participants
Siberian Mathematical Contest is a competition for bachelor and master programs' students of both mathematical and non-mathematical degrees.

Contest is held in two separate categories:
  • first-year students,
  • second-or-more year students.
Students must register in advance to be able to participate.
Date and venue
The contest will take place on November 24, 2024.
The registration form will be available from until November 20.
Venues are:
  • Novosibirsk State University,
  • St. Petersburg State University and Euler Mathematical Institute,
  • Siberian Federal University,
  • ITMO University,
  • Urgench State University,
  • Tyumen State University,
  • Karakalpak State University (Uzbekistan),
  • National University of Uzbekistan,
And other venues.

There will also be an online tour.

Format
For each category the contest has two rankings: personal and team. Each participant's result is ranked in the personal standings. Team score is combined of 5 best personal results among its members. Each team can consist of up to six students. And each university can register no more than two teams in each category.
However, a student can always participate standalone. Forming a team is not required to compete in the personal standings.
Tasks
Siberian Mathematical Contest tasks require vast knowledge of algebra, mathematical analysis, geometry, combinatorics, probabilities theory and mathematical statistics. Students have to write both detailed calculated solutions and theoretical proof.
